I went for a photography wander today as the weather was
slightly better. I was trying to find something different to take a picture of
(as apposed to my usual flowers). As I was looking I found this butterfly on a
piece of grass, with the cocoon further down the stalk.
I saw the cocoon first; it caught my attention and made me
look closer which is when I spotted the newly hatched butterfly. I love how you
can see the legs of the butterfly wrapped around the grass, and how you can see
the indentations in the wings.
I might try some more shots of wildlife and insects as I’ve
really enjoyed finding these kinds of shots. I may have to start using the
telephoto more!
