I've delved into the depths of my hard drive today, as I’m
ashamed to say I haven’t had chance to go on a photography wander. I took this
photo at a fundraising party to celebrate the Eurovision Song Contest. I was sat outside in the garden after dark, and candles had
been lit for light and to keep the insects at bay.
If I used flash it would lose the effect of the candlelight,
so I had to use a high ISO, which means there’s some noise in the picture. I
increased the contrast and sharpened the image in Photoshop to try and reduce
the effect.
I think this picture has worked well, as I really liked the
idea of a flame picture. Mat said he’s having a great holiday and is really
missing the blog!
